Synonyms of quality in the technical context: Synonyms of quality in the technical context: Technical Synonyms of quality in the technical context: Synonyms of quality in the technical context of technical contexts: How to explain the technical description of a garment or the installation in different colours?
I am writing a technical specification for a product portfolio containing a series of related products, differentiated by quality, well, sort of. How do I structure a specification for a product? I am looking for a synonym of the term quality What does ‘quality’ mean?
What is quality in everyday life? Why is a high-end restaurant more expensive than a fast-food place?
In both business and manufacturing, quality has a different meaning: it refers to the correspondence between the agreed and the delivered product. It’s kind of related to the difference between specifications or expectations.
If you take a good meal, a better one doesn’t always mean higher quality. In fact, a healthy fast food could have a high quality if it meets the expectations of a customer better.
I am a bit confused, especially not being a native English speaker. I want to find a native English speaker. How do I refer to a better product? As much as quality is also an appropriate term here, I would like to avoid it because it’s quite a technical and formal document conforming to ISO 9000 terminology.
If one product has lower quality would not be correct. I have to repackage all my work before I start making. All products have high quality, but one product is better than the other. What is the collective term for this?
Is the iPad Air a better iPad than the iPad 2? What are the qualities that make the
product not higher quality?
I’d describe a “portfolio of related products” as a a range, family or series (eg “product family” or “family of products”) to signify that they share some characteristics while providing comparative differences.
“Operational-” or “design quality” makes sense but sound quite general to me. What characteristics would be fitting the different components and services, like operational characteristic, design characteristic, etc.? A continuation in this vein, maybe design grade or product tiers to signify levels or stratifications.
Is your list really complete? If not, use a “range of” construct to indicate a scale of quality. If not, use a t-test or the equivalent test which may be useful. For example, “a range of measuring instruments of varying precisions/uses/applications” or “measuring instruments of varying precisions/uses/applications”, with corresponding “different
dimensions”.

Exactly, according to ISO 9000 the term quality is clearly defined, As degree to
which a set of inherent characteristics fulfils requirements So, if
you fulfil the respective requirements, your products have a high quality if they fulfil the particular requirements.
The term grade is used to describe different product categories for different requirements. According to ISO 9000, the term grade is defined as
category or rank given to different quality requirements for products, processes or systems having the same functional use
by the letter or the letter of a company the same class airline ticket (first, business or economy)
or category of a hotel ticket
