Why the saying ‘unexpectedly’ is common while ‘expectedly’ is not?

“unexpectedly” is common, but “expectedly” is not, whereas “predictably” is common (the synonym of expectedly) but “unpredictably” is not. Why do some people use it so widely?

Why don’t

we just see ngrams?

Why are words common or unusual? Common, in this context, simply means it is more often. There are more drastic instances of where “un” or “dis” words appear with little to no use of the un-prefixed version. If you’re disheveled but you’re not sheveled, what would it be like? What is not kempt for nothing? Inscrutable but no scrutable. At the end.

Some people call it ‘‘Lonely negatives’’ some call it ’’Snowdog.com.
