Who wants to save his money, but can’t, is called what?

If I wanted to save $200 but reaches at the saved of $50, spend it again and repent and could not save 200, which he wanted.

In my head the word “extravagant” has a generic meaning but this is what I want to describe it. The description could also be called “extravagant or supernatural”.

I need noun for the one who wants his money saved but is unable to do so.

When does one spend?
I’m not sure that a spendthrift is trying to save money, but they probably wish they had.

She can spend money, but she will never repay anyone. A spendthrift (also known as prodigal) is someone who spends money, but he or she can’t live comfortably. “spentthrift” derives from an obsolete sense of the word “thrift” to mean prosperity rather than frugality, hence a “spendthrift” is one who has spent their prosperity with

others.
