Which one is true? Are we made more beautiful?
- Was She more beautiful?
- She said it was more beautiful wasn’t it?
What is your view on this sentence? Why does the verb had to have the tag after the verb? However, there are also some verbs like believe, suppose, and I don’t think for which we use the tag on the that clause when the main verb is being used. Does the verb say belong to the same group as suppose and believe? Many thanks
for explaining my experience at MIT.
What is the object behind the interrogatory term? What is it:
If She said “It was more beautiful wasn’t it is”? Or
She
said “That” it was more beautiful, didn’t she?
Note that both declarations are positive, and the tag has been negative, i.e. text and description, hence requiring them to be declared “Invalid”. If n, contain a not, in each case is hidden in the contractionn’t.
She said/thought/believed/supposed it was more beautiful, didn’t she? I’m sorry if I
didn’t mention Simple Past (didn’t for Simple Past)..
