What is the English word used in Ramadan?

In a broader sense and in a certain sense, when am I calling for a change, but not an action, is it right to go for change?

Iftar is how you say in English, as straight a borrowing as possible, with no translation. ‘Breakfast’ does not replace iftar but marks a daily meal and is not used for fasting. Iftar means that one is breaking a fast. The event is ‘breakfast’ but this isn’t.

Iftar means the breaking of the daily fast during Ramadam. (in the Islamic calendar) It occurs on a day basis, on the other hand the big date of Eid ul-fits is held to celebrate the end of the month long fast of Ramadam is held on the opposite side.
