Historical references and heritage are commonly confused. “Heritage is owned by some group; history is not. “… ” History is what people study in order to preserve and extend their heritage. Heritage is what they study. How
does heritage get the historical synonym?

Heritage comes from the root inherit, while history comes from the root historia (to enquire). Do hybrids really exist? On your page, there are examples of hyper/hyponyms; chair and furniture, for example. Using
the same hypernymological and
stylistic criteria Dog and Border Collie names are used. Border Collie is a hybrid of a Border Collie and a Border Collie is a hyponym of a Dog. However, Border Collie dog is sometimes used as opposite of dog.
