What verb is used to describe the act of making a grammatical error?

If a friend suggests a spelling mistake, that’s called “misspelling”.

Is code needed in a

sentence?

Is this minor grammatical error? This book deals with code, our profession is software design and web technology. Computer people who say “CPU, code”, the right way, are all great. Being a web developer makes you interact with thousands of people online over time. Why do we misspell here?

I’d like to condense make a grammatical error with to a single word, a verb that describes the act of “misgrammaring”.

For verbs, consider misspeak (“to fail to pronounce, utter, or speak correctly”.). Wikipedia says Misspeaking is a word

used to describe the act of speaking “incorrectly, unclearly, or misleadingly”, to “fail to convey the meaning one intends by one’s words” Also consider the form

to err grammatically. Verb err means to make any kind of mistake that would result in a violation of strict
