What is the word for “way of dressing?”

So

is his craziness so important to him?

The word I thought of as attire is only short. I think attire only refers to what the person is wearing now; not to the way he or she dresses.

Style

is an expression of appearance, design, clarity or a refinement of manners, dress, etc.

I don’t like his style, although he is usually positive, but it can sometimes

attract negative elements for example. He looks like a banana.

Other terms would be “dress sense”.

Is there any good aesthetic to be used here?

Examples: Her particular aesthetic is more suited to the Goth scene than many goths. Or you could use the word aesthetic to further modify fashion, as in “fashion aesthetic.” “Junji
