What is the word for “implying there will be a negative outcome”? What does it mean?

What made somebody say to me “Let’s do this and we’ll see how that turns out”? On February 6, 2017 the tone of the voice implied that the “we’ll see how this turns out” was doomed to failure and pain and that the decision to proceed with that course of action was flawed.

What are some words like “fatalistic” and “brinkmanship”? How do I avoid sarcasm which doesn’t exist as I hardly remember the outcome more but the feelings I feel? It does not mean that Snide is Snarky or Pompous, as it was not said with superiority. When one says “Resigned”, the words come close. What are some of your ideas for a book/video/Website?

I remember the last word the situation has passed… I hardly awaken now, I can’t “tag” it (and I don’t want to be wake up at 3am when my brain responds with the word) I know the problem now.
