Are there any technical terms to specifically describe the two styles (A and B) above? What are some prescriptive style guides?
In light of the popular English style above-style I prefer “pure English,” etc. “To keep free from legalese and bureaucratese), but that is merely my individual feeling.

No, these differences are not strongly associated with any specific style. The “above-referenced” style is sometimes considered slightly more formal but that is a description of the style — it isn’t a specific style comes with its own term.
