What is the lexical equivalent of syntax?

I’m trying to find a word that means “lexical rules” (or maybe not rules, but tokens) kind of like how syntax means “syntactic rules” now that it’s out of my vocabulary.

What is of what? Syntax is to syntax as lexical is to what?

What is your best guess?

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howto.php?lang=Final. Are words lexicon?
