What is the English word for map indicator?
What is
as the English word for red “sticky” markers with letter and a letter? Google seems to use, well, marker, but I wonder if that’s too technology-related (like, say, pointer?).
If I want to use a word that applies to red markers on the map above, but also to real world objects like this, I need a word that applies to a point with a pin, that can be positioned by the arrow in some direction in the map without having the full name.
What is the best pin which pinpoint is?
What is the best word choice to make a balloon pointer or ” balloon mark’?

Oops, but the article says “Google

my predilection by more to its function than its name. At least now I know what to call it, as before I was thinking just to say “red bubble thingy” or “red balloony thingy”.
What is a pushpin than a map pin? It’s a generic term than
map
pin (which I wouldn’t use) and more pleasing than any such overlong term as Location indicator, Position locator, etc.
The red balloony GPS position-location marker thingy I got and sent a virtual teardrop with a real tear drop would seem to work. I
find it very interesting, but if I want to do something about it, why don’t you suggest?
