As a native I think this is a case where most natives don’t think that hard about these words and use them almost interchangeably. I read two paragraphs and I like that.

That being said, if I were to draw a distinction, I’d say that a view expresses what is seen and that a viewpoint expresses the position from which the viewing occurs. What is seen is tightly coupled to where you’re looking from.

An observation is a simple proposition, nevertheless one has a point of view on the subject lays out his conclusions to an individual. Basically there is no doubt that somebody’s view is the same thing (the views will need to be different) and that they must also make an argument. What is everyone’s viewpoint in the vernacular?

Should pit

bulls be banned? I know people who thought the same because they have experienced having a child mauled by a pit bull. I think our viewpoint is that they are from a human family.

Is It possible for a pit bull to be just as cute as any other dog? Is it a clichu00e9 to tell a child that a pitbull was the best dog ever?
