What is the difference between inferring and inferencing?

I have encountered the words “inferring” and “inferencing” in literature on educational research.

How does inferencing say what the word inferring implies?

“The teacher asked the

student to infer detail from the text. In this instance the teacher did not have the opportunity to ask him why?” If

a noninference is used, does that change the meaning of inference?

Is there any solution for this?
