What is the definition of proficiency that is native?
I am not a native English speaker. So far don’t I feel cheated at being called a native English speaker. I’m certainly proficient at whatever I know. Can you describe me in terms of ability/knowledge?
English dominates my life, I’m very much immersed in the American media, I get all the cultural references and jokes. How can I make sure to speak fluent English when I speak the native language? I am all from New Zealand (non Native) and I never realised I’m a non native. (twice).
I am writing a CV and I’m looking for a suitable label. What should I provide for it. Why? I usually said that I have a C2 language certificate but since I’ve gotten the certificate I’ve improved and – as I said – now it kind of seems as an understatement. I want to learn, How can I do that?
