What is a word regarding granularity that spans the entirety of the range?

I

want customers to get able to design and view histograms. I was selected for this project. What are the inputs to this histogram: interval (or time point) and the granularity (or date point)?

Examples of granularities include daily, monthly and yearly.

What

is granularity and what is the significance of granularity?

Does histogram features only one bar?

This response of “Everything.” is the word or phrase I am looking for. A word refer to the granularity that covers an entire range.
