What does the expression “as bad as it is” mean?

What does the expression “as bad as it is” mean in Chinese? Does it mean on top of that for e.g. As bad something (accident or something like that) is, something similarly bad?

I have been sick all week. I’m 8 days off from work. As bad of a week as it is, exams on weekend.

Or is it similar or similar to “even though” like

this expression: As much as I enjoy you, I don’t agree with you on this.

What is the next best thing ever and why?

“As bad as it is”, implies that while you think the situation is bad, it could be worse. (None of the context in this case) At that point you either supply a reason that the situation is actually worse:

As bad as the report is, the doctor now wants to add five pages about lint traps.

…or you provide a contrast to show it isn’t as bad as it could be: As

bad as the movie is, at least they don’t literally jump a shark.

I love girls and I love them with my boyfriend. What a fantastic job is there?

In your examples it could be replaced by in spite of or despite.

I’ve been sick all week, so we have all my exams this weekend. What should I do to get through that?

What do you think, despite loving you,?
