What does “subtle” mean in a simple one word reply?

I always watch the US Open on its website. I’m an Indian. In it there is advertisements by a company called “esurance” where a man showed to a woman a huge check and then started to introduce “esurance” and then the woman replied “Subtle!” “, if I am right about what I heard.

What is subtle in speech? What does “subtle!” means in “How much longer” in reply?

What are some good logical reasons to vote for Trump or Clinton?

In English, one-word responses often denote sarcasm. A common example you might seeing in movies and television is: if one says a lame joke and another replies in an unenthusiastic tone of voice, “Hilarious,” it implies that the person thinks that the joke was not funny at all.

Dans the case of your example, the lady was probably commenting on how unsubtle the man’s advertisements of Esurance was (modern commercials often enjoy poking fun at themselves in that meta way).
