What does “Snopesian” mean?

What is the specific word “irrelevant” in J. Mitchell Morse’s The Irrelevant English Teacher? What a Snopesian quality of the Nixon

administration is nowhere more evident than in its sour antagonism to college students and teachers. Nixon, Agnew and Mitchell quite rightly consider dangerous to everything they stand for — and perhaps, though this is necessarily a matter of conjecture, to all they personally are.

After a bit of web research, I gather that the word is a reference to Faulkner’s Snopes Trilogy. After reading the first book of this trilogy, would anybody please let me know what this word means?

What exactly is the difference between a good and bad relationship when it comes to a good relationship (even just my opinion), and a bad relationship when it comes to a good relationship (which I have to do anyway).

“Snopesian” – I wouldn’t pronounce it as “Snopes-ian”, as that following the pattern of “Dickensian” and similar – simply means “of or pertaining to Snopes”.

What are the dictionary of words and sentences? com

(-ian) a suffix with the same meaning and properties as -an… Orwellian ; Washingtonian (-an)

membership in social classes, religious denominations, etc. In noun bases, the author is ascribing the quality of

the Snopes family to the Nixon Administration.

What qualities… having never read these books either, I’m at the mercy of Google. The Snopes family is ambitious, grasping, sneaky, and generally out to look after themselves at all costs.

are a common problem for people with this disorder.
