What does “I hit delete” mean?
I just deleted my own question about the sentence in the Time magazine article titled “The Happiness of Pursuit” (HTML ) as I noticed that I overlooked a word (poor) in the quoted sentence.
I was given this line in the same copy block, it’s “Rich isn’t just better
it’s much better.” How do things shake out at the national and global level? What does individual and community mean? If you’re rich, your experiences are not the same as all other rich people’s. I just have a few minutes.” What
does the end phrase I hit delete mean? Is there any deleting practices by EL&U? Why?
What is the best solution for the Indian student and their families? What are some options for the professional?

much annoyed at someone making a question about reporters that no one will reply. Is it true that the reporter’s question was dumb? As
for it being idiomatic English, expressions like that one are used every now and then, where we use computer or technology jargon to explain something, perhaps metaphorically, such as ” rebooting my life ” (when turning over a new leaf), or “pulling the plug” when we want to abandon a project.
