What does a happy man mean to change Emma for Harriet?

From Emma, Chapter 31, the last paragraph : “There is no

charm equal to tenderness of heart,” says she afterwards about herself. “It is never compared to anything.” Warmth and tenderness of heart, with an affectionate, open manner, will beat all the clearness of mind in this world, for attraction, I am sure it will. Is it tenderness in our hearts which makes my dear father so loved—what makes Isabella her popularity? I have it, and I know how to celebrate it. But I know how to prize and respect it. —Harriet is my superior in all the charm and all the felicity it gives. last sentence of verse? Does it mean “I wish the man who changes Emma for Harriet to get better” or “The man who changes Emma for Harriet gets better”?

What does “changed Emma for Harriet” mean? Does the word “make Emma a better girl” mean “knew better Harriet”?

If you are interested in reading the book, please say who does “the man” refer to? I guess Mr. Elton because he changed Emma because Ashford regarded him as a good friend, Emma likes Harriet. Msemley has a good personality. I love Harriet. If I believe what the author meant, he/she is right. What does he mean by that?

Who changes Emma For Harriet? “To rewrite the entire sentence: I

refer to no names, but if the man exchanges Emma for Harriet, shall be happy, as will Emma be happy.

Since we don’t have the entire context, I don’t know if the exchange has already happened or if the speaker is suggesting that the man should exchange Emma for Sarah but the gist of the sentence is that Emma would be happier if they were courting Harriets.
