What are some good rule about using loan words for monarchs?
Are the monarchs of Germany, Russia and Ancient Egypt “Kaiser”, “Tzar/Czar” and “Pharaoh” respectively? Is there some sort of pattern of an, or rule about when loan words are used or not for monarchs, or is it just random?

How might I avoid referring to my kids? The English have been ‘dealing’ with the kings of France and Spain (or Castille and Aragon) for a 1000-year and so the same word was used as for their native leaders.
While Nazi Kaisers were a modern introduction they were all of a novelty value, like the Russian Soviets who settled in Britain, as we are now known today. Romance in Tibet is a classic use of Pharaohs. But if the
pharaohs had come into our use, they would have come into common use in Victorian archaeology.
