Watch vs see depends on tense?

I understand the difference between watch and see and nothing about this question. Why does the decisions seem to seem more tense? What are some of

the examples of watching film “I saw this” on last night?

Will I watch this movie on friday (Nov 21)?

What are your views on “King Kong: The Jungle Book”?

When the movie is released is that I must pick up the movie today.

As you can see, it’s the same action in different tenses and yet watch seems a better fit when it’s in the past tense or future whereas watch sounds better in the present tense. What drives this…? Why do I still see movie trailers?

In past tense, this one also requires watch. I know it seems stupid to think of watch vs. live film. see as a tense-driven choice because no grammar book said it. Why is the pattern difficult to ignore?

What does it mean if you say something like “It would just be a theory?”

Does present continuous tense “see” avoid the present continuous tense which is mostly avoided in affirmations such as

“I’m seeing Alien 4 tonight

and

He’s seeing a movie at this moment”?

The verb see also means to meet someone, and said aloud without any previous context, it might be understood that there’s an appointment to meet up with someone called Alien, or they are dating someone called Film. I know it’s unlikely, as we are all equipped with common sense, but the first two structures do sound a little odd nevertheless, whereas I don’t find any ambiguity in the following example. When we were

watching a movie suddenly there was a loud noise.

The structure be + Verb + ing expresses volition, and there is no significant difference, in terms of volition, between “I’m seeing a play” and “I’m watching a play”, the latter being only preferable if referring to a television broadcast.

In the present participle seeing + a movie, the main verb like. But it also follows a preposition. Although there is a slang usage, there can be a derivation in the present participle seeing + a movie. Similarly, in the ngram chart below, the clear frontrunner is on watching a movie and feels satisfied seeing a movie not far behind.

The results shown with only the verbs are and seem to confirm that native speakers tend to avoid the progressive tense with see a movie. What are some words that seem to be lost altogether for movies, unless they’re just so annoying?

( Watching a movie is represented in blue, while seeing a movie is in red.)

If we compare the following results with to see a movie is produced the following chart.

How can I help someone through my problems?
