The usage of the term platform. -the use of the word “platform”

I’m trying to write a paragraph explaining an internet-of-things platform (through/on) which users can interact with their houses using a smartphone application (for instance when the owner walks in, the house detects that it’s him and turns on the tv to his favorite channel or turns on the lights etc) Can i use platform like this; on+ platform?

How can I interact with

my house using the platform by which I can

interact with them?

I went through a few dictionary but they all refereed to the word platform as a solid foundation on which people or things stand which is not the usage in this sentence. My question will be a response to these sources. using a preposition a (for a) program b (for a) platforms for a position, a candidate or a holder

1 : a plan and design 2 :

a declaration of principles on which a group of persons stands 3 a (1) : a usually raised horizontal floor; especially : a raised flooring (2) : a device or structure incorporating or providing a platform b : a place or opportunity for discussion 5 a : a vehicle (

How do I save my information: please Help! Thank you

for your valuable help, Jeremy.

” platform ” isn’t it the right word in your context?

Long version: ”

platform is ” The hardware and software architecture that serves as a foundation or base ” or most often ” the computer architecture and equipment using a particular operating system ” or ” A software environment that is used to write applications and run them “. A platform in IT is something that, while it is built, can help create something. Android is a platform, just like all the other OSes. The term is closely correlated to the term “environment”.

In your context terms like ” software ” or ” system ” would be more likely.
