What is the most perfect term to describe “society” in both theory and practical terms? Like when I say that every country has its own unique politics, education system and… so called “society issues” which I have not been aware of before?

Is there a generic term for social questions like emancipation (women’s lib) etc.? The question are not specific enough that I don’t understand any of it. What information is useful in setting this example as political or educational?

Would you prefer if the word sounds educated, not too simple, or you could use it in a plural form?
