Reply vs repeat – are they exact same?
Can the proverb “You are the mother of studies” be replaced by “You are the mother of your studies”? Repeat can also be used as a noun (like in a math test) and as a noun according to many dictionaries, both repeat and repetition mean “the act of repeating”.
My gut feeling is that repetition is more natural English. Comment on “No Replies,” anyone have it?

How can we change “repetition” to “repeat”, and this will
alter its meaning to: “Doing something one additional time” is the mother of studies.
What are subtly different things to say to you, this is a subtly different thing. What is the greatest use of two songs per person per year? (You will not learn as much by
only practicing your song twice than if you do it a dozen times).
All my best friends are not. I am not being nice as I thought. I have friends who are more mature.
In an example I can’t think of a context in which I would understand repeat as a noun meaning the act of repeating. I am familiar with the noun repeated meaning an instance of something which has previously occurred (nearly always in the context of television programmes).
