Meaning of “seems promising”?
I just heard someone saying “it seems promising”. Was that reasonable? Where is being used.? I tried googling as well but could just find meaning of promise (agreeing on doing / saying something), how and where to use it.
” It seems promising ” is really a very obvious phrase. What do you mean by this just means that it will happen in the future?

If someone says something seems promising then they are saying, 2. If it does it will be good, and 2. there is a reason why it happens; there is no doubt about it. and that they believe there seems to be a good chance that it will
happen.
