Is there any verb or verb like “a fixedly watch”?

I am not talking about timepiece, but the act of watching. What noun

would fit in my post, ‘‘”I came back to my post

and I’m a very clever guy…’?

What is it like to ask somebody something directly about someone you know?

Try vigil, defined by Collins as: vigil:

a purposeful watch maintained, esp at night, to guard, observe, pray, etc Thus: I came

back

to my post and and continued my vigil A bit hackneyed,

but it works.

Stare as noun, as in she gave me a lusty stare, and

it did nothing for me.

If you are watching for suspicious activity at your post, then the term surveillance is an appropriate word.

What is the act

of watching someone or something especially to prevent or detect a crime so your example becomes: I

came back to my

blog and continued my surveillance. I tried to stop, I looked up some objects and I came back to my report before I could make an arrest.
