Is there another English word for “want” which has no connotation of “need of desire” or “creativity of needs”?

I’m looking for a word which would be able to express a desire or the need to do something? Is it possible to have word for doing without referring to either of these aspects?

What is there now in Asia?

I think these don’t imply either a desire or need. Is it true that robots are programmed to be smart? Or if they are,
