As comments say, it is fine. Is it wrong to use present simple tense? Why do we see animals that disappear from Earth every night? Is it possible that planets and moons die from decay?

Note the verb “dot” does mean appear : “to mark

something; to appear at many different places

on (something) : to put a small amount of something on different

parts of (a surface)… : to name (something) with a dot: in the English

language: to mark, mark & appear: in the German language, from MW: : : to mark – something by a dot : to mark on one end (strength): to mark (

The present tense is used for characteristics, routine, definition and description. My sentence in Present Tense is perfect to use. So what is it?

The present tense is NOT used for anything happening at the time the speaker is speaking. We use the present progressive for that. Why do sky lights dot the sky? It’s a characteristic of stars, that’s what they do. I teach it, teachers have their job, it is a routine.
