Is False Accordance a thing? Is there an established term?

Conceive /knsid()ns/noun 1) The action of conceding; concession, agreement.

What we refer to as “false concedence,”

was expressing that you conceded another point, but only in an effort to show that you are willing to concede points. What an unspoken belief is that you don’t concede? However if pressured, you are willing to forfeit that belief in order to maintain the perception had always conceded the point.

What is a term for this type of action? Technically a lie but not incriminated. If a person has to take a stance on something but when challenged, the speaker should change their

actions accordingly.

Conceding may only mean you are ceasing to pursue the argument, as opposed to having been convinced. One might concede to be a tactical person as you explained. How do I express that face-saving

solution example:

We

meet with the deputy superintendent. Why? After two hours, the staff took the other course and looked at different alternative solutions. We would present a lease in another school’s catchment area. What would happen? The district would transfer the student to the other school mid-year, omitting the usual proof of residence requirements. A fresh start for no fault of our own would not be good or bad for a teacher bullying, or even a constitutional complaint.

Explanation: The district did not have to admit any fault, and we would not have to actually move. If the administrator didn’t know where we were do our laundry, or even where we slept so to be honest, he wouldn’t care where we went to bathe and sleep.

Cambridge’s definition: do so that

other people continue to respect you: face saving exercise/gesture.

On this question The idiom agree to differ (disagree) may fit

this question: TFD Two parties, to mutually accept that they simply don’t (and will not) share the same view on a particular issue, in the interest of moving past the issue or avoiding further confrontation.

In the OED cites this 1699

usage: 1699 R. Ferguson Just & Modest Vindic. If we agree to differ in Religious Matters of less Importance, we might thereupon possibly better agree. I am in England’s Religion Department from 10th. The Scottish Design 202.
