Is “Except For” same as “Except In”?
What is the exact difference between the two categories?
- What are some good examples of failed attempts to meet people except for the campaign?
- We didn’t have a chance to meet, except in the campaign, ].
What is the best way to express my thoughts?
How does it feel to haven’t had a chance to meet since the campaign?
What is the difference between my proposal and the campaign process? I would imagine that the earlier the campaign started, the more important now?
Two statements are correct if you read them the same way. “For” convey as the purpose of participating in the campaign. “In” means place and not purpose; “in” could have been by chance.
I used negative “we didn’t have” and replaced it with positive thats why it wasn’t used. Which is a simpler – clearer “We had the chance to meet during the campaign”?
If I understand correctly shouldn’t it be
We didn’t GET the chance to meet except on the campaign.
As a student I would love something new so I could live with that. So please.
Assuming correct comprehension of the semantics here, I think the problem is with the choice or lack of choice of preposition for “the campaign”. I have failed at a
recruitment campaign, you might say we did not meet.
What are the advantages of going to a coffee shop if you don’t want to waste the time?
