If the problem is too big ask team leader!

I am not a native speaker and want to know if “escalation” is the matching word for this:

I get a question from the customer, and I don’t know if I am allowed to answer or do it. I want to go to my Team Leader to ask him what I am allowed to do. Then I can’t.

I looked at the wikipedia page for “Escalation” and I cannot find a matching definition: https://en.wikipedia.org.xml. How

to call the Higher Hierarchy for Aid/Excuse?

What are the best ways to find out more about your research?
