I mean “to be as flexible as possible” or “as flexible as possible” Which is correct?

On our website homepage we have the following sentence:

We make our software to be as flexible as possible so you can maintain and visualise the data that is important to YOU.

One of my friends insists it should be:

We make our software as flexible as possible so you can maintain and visualize the data that is important to YOU.

What are the proofs of grammatically correct words? Are both men and women wrong?

In case anyone’s interested, our beta homepage ishttp://intellectpersonified.com/. com/.com/.com/.com/.com/.com

and internet//.com/.
