How to give me some form of expression to express speaker’s uncertainty. In some way I am surprised and amazed. In some way I like this usage of some phrase, I have some form of figurative sense of it.
When I want to display my uncertainty in a sentence, for all I know, I can use, such as seem, as if, appear to, look like, seem like, sound like. In a sentence, for example, when I want to use this a sentence that sounds like, like, are. What are the differences in these words or phrases? Can someone describe to me ‘it sounds like he is annoyed’, ‘it seems like he is annoyed’, or ‘it’s as if he is annoyed’? If so, then they express the same meaning do the adjectives. What do these words mean?
Addendum, if I’d like to assume an untrue condition, that I think will be the second or third condition, can I use anyone above freely or some of them can’t be used in this way?
for example, if I’m a bird, can I use like that?
