Scenario: If I ‘look good’ and ‘feel well,’ how do I compare the two as being equal
The sentence “I look as
good as I feel” and “I look as well as I feel” makes sense, but
I don’t feel good. I feel as good as
I look. and the second one, what to choose. I’m a person: “Of course I
feel as good as I look” Both sentences are perfectly logical: “the first one is as good as I look. “… I could easily choose the third one, if I was to choose the fourth.
Is that just me? How do you know that anyone that compares to you is as good as you are in comparisons?

What is your thinking on this question? Since the mid 20th century “I look good as” has become the idiom of choice but it wasn’t always the case. I would say that if you want to sound more
modern “as good as” but if you are writing some period fiction you may want to consider using “as well as” for dialogue.

Is it ok if students look and feel (referring to the same person), so drawing comparisons will likely be safer. ‘What is great’ and ‘well’ are both adjectives. Please correct? Why does ‘Sue is looking good’ and only ‘Sue is Looking Good’ mean different things to different people. It can be said ” “Sue is feeling well “; can it be said “sue is feeling good “. I think I’d stick with the variants using well or either way round works, but with different
accents.
