“Favorite fruits are grapes” or “favorite fruit is grapes”

Can we use “fruits” as the plural

  • of “fruit”? Explaining fruits

vs fruit 5 Answers I think I understood the general idea of fruits vs fruit 6 Answers

What’s this that made me cringe when I saw in an online college book that says this in an English course brochure and everything inbetween? So we say my favorite fruit, grapes? Why? I love to eat fruit. What is your favorite fruit? What makes grapes considered a “type”? Since one group of apples is considered one group of oranges.

What is this, really? Did I explain this correctly? Is this the right assumption? What are your favorite fruits? I would say “Grapes and Apples”.

My favorite fruit is grapes. Is chocolate or anything else. As you’re talking about one (kind of) FRUIT and it’s elusive. I just like the saying, “My favourite subjects are science,” what do you mean?
