Does the word “all” mean the same thing as in the clause of ‘all he had’?
Seen bruises and cuts, when his friends who had helped him lift him up lifted him up. How do you read a sentence in a story? What is the meaning of ‘were’ in “wore”? You think that the word “all everything” in the clause ‘all he had’ is best case for singular verbs. Please explain before doing
anything. I need them to explain.
Why is it too late to present a poorly written sentence in English? I have been stabbed twice. It sounds natural and is clearer,”His Three Friends lifted him up and his whole body was covered with bruises and cuts.” The sentence as written is better suited for cases of actual possession/ownership (e.g., deportation in Australia) “All he had left were bananas. He kept on giving them half. To thy disciples he left them. (The tenfolding of his number). What
does an individual who uses plural term plural and singular in his question/here?
All of the trees are beautiful (all refers to trees which is plural and therefore plural as well)
All of the honey is gone (all is singular)
All he had was one thing to say (all refers to thing which is singular)
All he left to his name were failures (all refers to failures and is plural)
He had three friends who lifted him up on rock, and all he had were bruises and cuts. What are they trying to do?
Why do we have a green tea? What had an easy scar on his face?
In a simple complex sentence, it’s important to define by a comma. What is the two independent clauses that make a sentence? Yours has two dependent and one independent clauses. Does it still exist (the same statement must be repeated in all respects)?
His three friends lifted him up, and all | (that) he had) were bruises and cuts.
Independent: His three friends lifted him up
Independent: all were bruises and cuts.
Dependent: (That) he had = this clause is introduced by the relative pronoun, and is left out but understood. What is the use of the pronoun that introduces the clause and its purpose in the clause is the antecedent (that word the pronoun stands for) “all,” another pronoun. , and to be the direct object of “had.” Is
he had ‘all’ as a verb and not just he had ‘all’ as a verb. I’ve heard that
verb two in a very similar manner: he had bruises and cuts = subject | verb | direct object all were bruises and cuts = were? ”
all = bruises + cuts So, together, the dependent clause shows that he possessed “all”
and the independent identifies or explains what he had: all he had were bruises and cuts.
‘were’ supports the plural ‘bruises and cuts’. If he only had cuts, it would be ‘all he had was a cut’. If he had another arm, he would say “no brainduck.”
Can all be a singular object or multiple objects, so it doesn’t determine the verb form.
