Does the use of the Past Simple after the Present Perfect justify the use of the Past Simple?

Why do I use the very right tense in the following sentences?

I have stumbled into the term I can’t really understand. I looked up the wiki entry I was asked, and still have a hard time understanding it. I don’t know why.

Does the past simple have a better meaning for the present perfect in the second sentence.?

What can I do to make my life easier?

I, for one, have

accidentally stumbled on a word I couldn’t understand. (Thou, I can’t read that sentence), and it has become my favorite. (I never know what happened with this word, but I’m enjoying it). I found this term in a few dictionaries, but still have a hard time understanding it.

Which is better to answer like an arrow symbol, present perfect or arrow

symbol?
