To ask someone to do something and tell them to do

something again and again.

Which word do you like best? Just drop the final “encouragement”. If a stronger statement is desired, substitute “overwhelming” instead of

excessive.

What is the difference between force and enforce?

We force our kids to study.

Also the word “oblige” can deliver a similar meaning. Are you ready? One example I’ve seen a lot is “pressure”

We pressure our kids to study,

or take it really seriously in public.
