How are various people using the Dutch ‘ten-ride ticket’ in English to send tourists.
How is the English accent used in your native language?
Carnet is used in France and Italy, but I have never heard it used as a common term by native speakers (I have lived in the UK for a while now).
I just asked an American colleague what she would call it and she, after a lot of thought came up with “Gee, I don’t know… Maybe a ticket book or something like that? ”
She actually preferred the Dutch “Ten-ride Ticket” type as a better name, when I mentioned that to her.- 1262848 views
