The meaning is very similar but what you suggest. Can anyone help me? In this case “yet” is a contradiction rather than referring to time. A broken pin comes from 10 years old, his use comes across and it’s old fashioned now. He is yet. I think it is an illogical, archaic form of “as someone was”..
I know it is because he is yet….you can read it “he is yet”.. But he is” again..
