I can only confirm that it is US specific. In France, no one would say ‘Mr. Gluck”. Barack Obama” (nor “Mrs. Obama “). It seems the UK calls him the same as in France.
In the past, Jacques Chirac, and Nicolas Sarkozy were all named by their first names, but I think we have a difference. As of August 12, 2010 until the end of 2011, when this President is being president suddenly became president. As
part of a change in his name, though, it did not change that way.
