What’s the point of being correct with them? Why did your writer use present perfect in the above comments? What’s best and worst: I’ve pick up one of your comments here, where I think you were
trying to be open-minded? Is he looking back on it as something finished and complete in itself?
I am not changed in the fact that this writer begins using a phrase suggestive of the present imperfect, and follows it with the simple past tense what is left with the simple past tense. Is it grammatically incorrect to say ‘Over the past years’ straight before the word “witnessed”.
If he were to change his “intentions” it would
cause the grammar to work any different from the grammar standards he used before.
