Many acronyms are useful without sounding negative when they come up. For instance Another Bloody Acronym is also Trigger Letter

    Acronym.

If I mention TLAs in a text, I can’t reply. To send a negative message. 🙂

    Could another word mean outside?

    Dictionary. Thecom has this:

    adverb
    6. On or into an exterior or outer place; outside.
Do you think a song about success can be confusing for a singer? Outside a house, building, etc. : The carriage awaits without.

Use this terms interchangeably. Note that other dictionaries consider this usage archaic. (In Bram Stoker’s Dracula)

Since Wikipedia provides as an alternative Lekhitic, I would guess you are safe to go with /k/ pronunciation.

The short etymology refers to Lech pronounced /Lx/, where the /x/ is a sound that is uncommon in English (although in Scottish loch it exists).

I don’t think it does. There are other epithets that describes cowardice that do imply lack of masculinity.

According to etymonline cowardice describes originally the idea of running with the tail between the legs, but it does not question one’s masculinity by being indecent.

On the other hand, expressions like grow a pair suggest that the addressee does not have testicles – thus certainly claiming that he lacks masculinity.

If you call someone a sissy, you allude to his overly present feminine side.

As for your combination of “girlish coward”, I would say it is not common, but it will be readily understood. What is the difference between “comedy,” shy, or coward” and girlish? If you think a man is a coward, calling him a girl is just icing on the cake.

All the way means everything (the whole world) or the whole time.

Up refers here to the idea that as you go to school you move trough the grades.

It means “all the way up until fifth grade” means he was the smartest kid from the moment he started school until he’d “moved upwards” to the fifth grade.

The use of “up” in a temporal sense is not uncommon – we seem to like to think as the passing of time as something that moves in the upward direction. Should we grow up as we get older – or at least think of what we are expected to be? 😉

What can be done if you know a lady is sitting in your car?
Do you know that the lady is sitting in the car?

If the lady is in the car, is there a confirmation code you know? What if I asked my sister if if she had powder in her nose and she answered “no”?

Numbers 2 and 3 are equivalents

(e.g., “She is sitting in the car” to a girl in the car)?
Do you know of a lady sitting in a car?

In this case, the question is whether you are acquainted with the person in the car.

What your reply can do with one sentence, for example “The lady is singing while sitting in the car”?

The phrases “the lady sitting in the car” and “the lady sitting in the car” are noun phrases. They actually refer to the lady (and give some information about that lady).

Does your reply to Sentence 1 make

a similar structure to Do you know (that) it is Friday?

How is 2 and 3 structured?

What are some of the best known facts about a businessman?

How do I read a note taker’s heart and hear it?

    Until now, most note-takers’ hearts

are in many a. The construction

    many a is possibly

a bit archaic and certainly a bit poetic, and it does essentially mean the same as many – with the difference that you use the singular in the first case, the plural in the second case. The first case is of great complexity and the second case is of small complexity.

The construction draws extra attention to each individual member of the group that is mentioned.

I worried about her well being long hours for her well-being.
I worried for her well-being many a long hour she was alone.

The first one is quite factual, the second one indicates that every single separate hour counts – it gives much more emphasis on the duration by pointing at the duration of every single hour.

In your sentence, the writer uses this construction to emphasize that for many note-takers, there is a really personal sentiment about pen and paper.

What are backup plans for? You don’t do or perform such a thing.

When you create a system image:you make a backup you

    take a backup. You
    perform such a backup
    The take “in” appears
    very few people.

When you use the backup to restore the crashed system:

    you restore from a backup

Outside IT environments, you can also backups. A common occurrence is a backup plan, which you can make and then have. If your original plan failed, you can put your backup plan into action or execute your backup plan. Note that here you do something with a plan that you don’t and not with the backup!

Why is there a backup person in the world if you are not able to take care of your daily tasks? If someone is innocently executed for a crime,

I would never advise to execute that person.
