If you’d just like to ask me a question, why not begin with “Excuse me…” followed by the question, it’s probably a good idea and it’ll work but you are likely going to end up in your house and/or bed when I come back or you can just ask me something I need some help with.” If you’re in trouble, a respectful “sir” would not be inappropriate, but is also not necessary
