If you described a situation where “Throw up” would probably be the right choice, would probably be the right choice. Is this polite?
If a doctor was using the word “vomit”, he or she would use the word “throw up”.
“Puke” is more informal and has more of a disgusting tone than the other one, even though it seems like the
same thing.
