The use of “she ” to describe ships is a poetic tradition. She doesnt make them into women. How they are still objects? Does using which or this work?

These are both novels – I could write a novel called The Rock Who Sing and that wouldn’t change the meaning of “rock” as far as the English language was concerned.

As far as searching for “ship who” as a search term goes, I should still be looking “this” but don’t think people will do so. If I do search on “ship

who" - "the ship who sang" ie,

removing results with “the ship who sang” goes down to 34,000.

If I search for “ship” , I get 6. In fact, search for this gives 11. What is the truth about 5 million results?

At the best of times, comparing the number of Google search results is a very unreliable way of determined the correctness of anything. More like Google ngrams, which looks at the content of books, which are more reliable ways to view the idiomatic use of words. E.g.

The sole is only bottom part of the shoe, and is a thin flat bit of leather/rubber. Other shoes get a soft feel with only slight wear. Some soles (eg Dr Marten’s) have air pockets inside, and snow could get inside those soles, if that happens. But most sneakers can have snow inside.

If there was hole in the sole it might let snow through the shoe.

If the snow is stuck on the inside of the soles of your shoes then you’d say “There was snow on the soles of my shoes” and if it’s actually come through into the shoes (making your feet cold and wet) you’d say “There was snow in my shoes”.

  • Can I use either of these?

Without a question mark, it really means “assuming that’s ok with you”, which doesn’t require an answer.. I’m assuming it’s nice with you.” “, and the other person can obviously say “Actually, it’s not convenient.” if they want, but if they’re ok then they can not respond, or at least not address the question in their response, which is taken as a tacit approval.

By using a question mark, you are asking someone for an answer. All apologies!

Use no-question-mark version in situations where it would normally be expected to be ok, and you’re really just being polite by reminding them that they have the option to say it isn’t.

If you still want an answer, use the question

    mark.

What is just? In some cases, like the word “actually”, it may add no real value to a sentence.

In your example, it’s hard to tell. It could mean “simply,” thus having a meaning like

“I can’t be bothered thinking about it any more – I’m simply going to order it.” ”

It could also mean “I am going to order it now, I’ll do the other thing you wanted me to do.” I’m

sure there are many other possible possibilities that I could pursue. I have a theory and so

without more context, it’s just guesswork.

Why would I have horrible opias to both eyes?

How does “half” actually means “50%” in the most basic sense? “Half dead” means “badly injured”, “half asleep” means “feeling very sleepy, or perhaps dozing but still conscious”.

If you lost an eye and you could see through the remaining one, you wouldn’t call them “halfblind”: they can see almost as well as someone with two eyes – the only difference being a smaller field of vision.

If you can use single eye and doodle to describe someone as half blind, when your vision is poor, you can also say: “He only had one eye and that was half blind.”

  • In the last thirty years, a term has emerged, some to justify the enormous expense (one of the biggest sellers, the Bugaboo Chameleon, is around u00a3700-u00a3800, or $1000 to $1200 if you like – this is more than i’ve paid for a car before), is travel systems.

This grandiose term is intended to refer to the fact that they can be adjusted into different modes. “”For example, they might come with a separate bassinet style attachment for when the child is up to 6 months, or the seat might be able to be adjusted into this. Eg: you can transfer children between pram, car or seat and the seat without waking them up. Also, the seat might be able to be detached and plugged into the base unit of a car seat, allowing your child to sleep in the car without waking him up Is it possible to put the seat back and take out the benchchair?

In this way, one product acts as a pram (baby lying down) and older child sitting. The fifth photo in your question looks like a prime example of one of these, I think it might be the aforementioned Bugaboo Chameleon with the bassinet attachment

What is is going on behind the scenes of a car claiming to be a travel system? Most people sometimes call it Buggy, buggy or “stroller”, or “wading” if it is in that mode (with other things such as prams, bikes and transport) in UK.

Speaking personally, My wife and I have a travel system, which we call “the pram”, and a more traditional smaller folding upright seat (like your first photo) which we call “the stroller”.
