  • I haven’t found a general, common word, that is ever recorded? The most common term I know of is long way or long way around.

    I have heard cut. I use it in jest. Wiktionary suggests that longcut might be in use, but there is a divide as to how it’s used: either the opposite of a shortcut, or a route that was supposed to be a shortcut, but actually turned out to be longer Urban Dictionary holds true.
