    I think this and that are relative to distance. The distance for phone conversations is metaphorical. When you call someone and ask them “this” they say “this” and “this” is the person who you call. If you heard someone in the background talking, it is a weird feeling but it really is not wrong. Is there a voice in the distance going on the other side of the line? What
